Cattle Watchdog Canine Breeding Webinar | Land and Cattle Post
Texas A&M AgriLife Research will host an online Cattle Watchdog (LGD) event to discuss canine breeding and related common issues from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on July 22.
Bethany Gibson, DVM, is the guest speaker. She works in a generalist small animal practice with a focus on small animal breeding. Gibson is currently an Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, working at the Frank Stanton Spectrum of Care Clinic.
The event is free, but attendees must pre-register for the Zoom meeting on the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in San Angelo website or at http://bit.ly/LGDreproduction.
“Puppies aren’t just adorable; they are the result of a successful breeding program, ”said Gibson. “This webinar will teach you how to work with your veterinarian to ensure the health of your breeding dogs and how to avoid common breeding problems. We will discuss pre-reproduction testing, reproductive management, pregnancy monitoring and normal delivery versus abnormal delivery.
This webinar is part of an ongoing series designed for livestock watchdog owners, but all working dog owners are welcome to attend.
“I can’t wait to see Dr. Gibson’s presentation and learn more about reproductive issues in working dogs,” said Bill Costanzo, LGD Specialist at AgriLife Research in San Angelo. “I think this will be a good webinar for producers, ranchers and anyone who uses LGDs to protect their livestock.”
