A daycare set up to take care of Norwich’s four-legged friends has had a restless response from its new visitors.
The luxury dog sitting business is the new headquarters of the Tom and Toto company and is based at White House Farm in Sprowston.
Sarah Wright, owner of the company, said: “The first two days were a lot of fun.
“The owners were thrilled and all came over to take a look and they got to see their dogs happy and socializing.
The first weeks will be devoted to installing the dogs and familiarizing them with the space.
One of Sarah’s favorite things about the new setting is that dogs can be completely off-leash.
She said, “They now have half an acre to go and explore, so it’s so nice to see them able to be happy and free.”
In the morning, all the dogs explore the outdoor areas, including the log pile and agility lessons.
Sarah said, “We played ‘follow the leader’ so we could help the dogs get used to the space, we were walking around and all the dogs were following us.
“We also hid some goodies in the log pile for them to find as a bit of scent work.”
The daycare has a lot of different equipment.
Sarah said: “It’s all made of wood and suitable for toddlers. I didn’t want anything plastic because the dogs slide on it.
“My favorite piece of equipment is the bridge, we have a four meter wooden bridge inside and the dogs love to run over, under and even jump over it which is fun to watch.”
Sarah’s plan is not to show the dogs everything at once so they can keep discovering new toys.
She added: “I would like to convert the upstairs into a luxury dog grooming salon and maybe also have space for puppy education and socialization.
“We will also be adding a log cabin in April which will allow us to have 12 additional dogs each day.”
There are still a few places available for dog daycare with more information on www.tomandtoto.co.uk.
