Last-minute shoppers out in force at River Park on Christmas Eve

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE / KGPE) – Despite the cold weather, shoppers were out on Friday at the River Park Mall to purchase those last-minute Christmas presents.

It was a busy day at the River Park Mall with a crowded parking lot and people walking around with their various shopping bags. Shoppers like Sabrina Zuniga stopped by the mall to buy special treats for her two dogs.

“We always buy treats for our dogs, so we came to get them their treats for Christmas,” Zuniga said.

Liliana Starlin, 5, made sure to take a photo with Santa before she left for the night.

“My experience with Santa is taking pictures and getting candy canes,” Starlin said.

At Bath and Body Works, employees were busy helping customers with their last minute purchases.

“Sure, we have these last minute shoppers, you know, they just come in, get what they need and get some extra freebies for some extra people in their lives,” Rhyan Pope said, an employee of Bath and Body Works.

Light showers did not prevent the Jimenez family from going out shopping before returning home to wrap their gifts.

“I had a pickup order that I needed to get, so I came to pick it up and sure enough now I’m looking at all the stores and I’m like, What else do I need before I get home ? »Said Megan Jimenez.

Beverly Patton came from Hawaii to spend time with her family, but still made sure to get gifts for Christmas.

Due to the Christmas Eve holidays, store opening hours vary.
