LIST: Pet-friendly places in northeast Wisconsin

WISCONSIN, (WFRV) — For some families, their pet is like a child, and being able to take the furbaby to different places can be daunting. To help you, here is a list of known places for pets in northeastern Wisconsin, you can bring your four-legged friend to visit.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Starbucks has a secret menu item for dogs go through the drive-thru. It is called the Puppuccino and contains whipped cream. Although pets are not allowed in stores, unless they are service animalssome Starbucks have patio seating that could be used.

The locations below are just a few local pet-friendly places, which are subject to change at any time. It is recommended to call before leaving for confirmation.

Bailey Harbor – Port fish and grill market

Bring your dog to eat outside with you on the terrace at the Harbor Fish Market & Grille. Be sure to ask for their dog menu and dog desserts.

Egg port – Shipwrecked Brewery and Brewerynot

Pub staff have confirmed that dogs are allowed outside on the outside terrace, so bring your dog on a nice sunny day and enjoy a bite to eat by the water.

Ellison Bay- Old Post Office Restaurant

“Would you like to sit down for some bacon?” asked a publication on the Facebook of this restaurant. It showed a dog with big pleading eyes as it looked at a large piece of bacon held in the air. Would your dog do this? You can try it on the terrace of the Old Post Office restaurant.

Fish Creek- Blue Horse Cafe

If you stop at this cafe, the staff just ask the dogs to stay outside while their owners get food and coffee.

Minocqua- Minocqua Yacht Club

To be able to hang out on the club terrace with your dog, it is sufficient that the animal is kept on a leash. If so, you can sit by the water and watch the boats go by while listening to music or eating something tasty from the kitchen.

Sheboygan- Weather Center Café

Enjoy a maple spice latte outside with your furry friend. Cafe employees said dogs are allowed at outside tables.

Sturgeon berry – Mary’s Bar & Grill by the water

Staff confirmed there was seating for pets outside on the grass – a perfect place to ‘people watch’ and catch the breeze coming off the Sturgeon Bay waterfront.

Wausau– Latte wine

You can take your four-legged friend to this gourmet Coffee Shop / Eatery & Wine Boutique. Just make sure they begging from the outdoor patio. You might even meet a dog named Katwho appears in several Facebook posts lounging around.
