Local Life: Peanut Boil and Food Drive, plus Big Dog Bonanza

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – In Local Living, Harvest Hope kicks off the “It’s Scary To Be Hungry” food drive.

The Food Drive hopes to raise awareness and collect donations to help feed hungry children in the Midlands.

Get ready to taste delicious boiled peanuts at the 14th Annual Palmetto Peanut Boil.
The outdoor festival will take place Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. in block 2900 on rue Devine. https://animalmission.org/palmettopeanutboil.php
Free entry. There will be music, activities and more.
All proceeds from the food sales will go to the Animal Mission, organizers say.

Pawmetto Lifeline is hosting a “Big Dog Bonanza” adoption special.
All dogs 35 pounds and over, six months and over can be adopted for $ 75.
Adoption fees include sterilization and sterilized surgery, vaccinations and more.
