PEDIGREE Foundation® awards over $ 760,000 in grants to help end pet homelessness

The 2021 PEDIGREE Foundation grants, awarded to more than 100 shelter and relief organizations across the country, have mainly focused on supporting reception, twinning and transport programs, as well as relief efforts. disaster. The 2021 PEDIGREE Foundation grants include:

  • DOGS RULE. â„¢ Grants$ 100,000 over two years to develop an innovative initiative that can become best practice for other shelters and rescues.
  • Program Development Grants$ 5,000 To $ 15,000 to help shelters and rescues expand their operational capacity to increase dog adoption with a focus on transport, reception, behavior and pairing initiatives.
  • COVID-19 grants – More … than $ 99,000 so far in 2021 dedicated to providing relief and support to organizations struggling due to challenges related to the pandemic.
  • Disaster Relief Grants – More … than $ 63,000 so far in 2021 to help organizations deal with natural disasters, puppy mill foreclosures and other emergency needs.
  • Collaborative partnership grants$ 25,000 To $ 50,000 to support initiatives that respond to regional challenges of supply and demand, by bringing more dogs to places where they have a better chance of being adopted. Recipients include Humane Society of Tulsa, Greater Good Charities, and Austin Pets Alive! through the Human Animal Supports Services program.
  • Adoption grants – Funds provided to support dog adoptions at two weekend adoption events sponsored in partnership with Mars Petcare’s BETTER CITIES FOR PETS â„¢ program.
