Pets of the Week: Frog and Reggie

Salvation! My name is Frog and I am a neutered male pit bull who weighs 30 pounds and is about 7 years old. I bet you’re wondering how I got my name? Well, my back legs are bent a bit oddly, so it looks like I have frog legs! I’m also missing a toe on my front paw, so I have a frog webbing on that paw. Although I arrived rather skinny, I have gained weight and am ready for a home. I love to eat and sit down for treats, but I’m much more interested in hanging out with people! We could go for a walk in the park or maybe play fetch! I met dogs here at the animal shelter and loved playing with them, so I would be perfect for a home with other dogs. I encountered a cat in a cage and seemed to be doing fine, but a slow introduction to cats in my new home would be best. I love everyone I meet, so bring your family to see me today!

Salvation ! My name is Reggie and I am a neutered domestic shorthair cat that weighs 13 pounds and is about 1.5 years old. I am a very relaxed and laid back cat who loves to be held! There’s nothing I love more than sunbathing and naps, especially outdoors since I was an indoor/outdoor cat. In my old house, I had dog siblings, so I used to be with them. I wasn’t neutered so I chased away all the other cats. Now that I’m neutered, I seemed to be okay with the cats at the shelter, but the staff aren’t sure how I’d do in a house with them. If you are looking for a big cuddly cat, come meet me today!

Many animals are currently awaiting adoption at the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter. Pet adopters must be 18 years of age or older, reside in Chesterfield County or an adjacent county/city, and have no convictions for animal cruelty, neglect, or abandonment. The adoption fee is $60 and includes the cost of neutering and age-appropriate vaccinations.
