PetSmart Hosts Free Easter Photo Day for Festive Pet Owners: “Pets Are Our Family”
It’s almost time to dress your pet in his vacation better because PetSmart is hosting a free Easter Photo Day event in honor of Easter 2022.
The American pet superstore will welcome pet owners and their furry, feathered or scaly friends for a free photo shoot on Saturday, April 9, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time.
PetSmart stores are set to host the three-hour event nationwide.
“Our pets are our family members and pet parents are bringing more and more pets of all species to the holidays, including Easter,” said Will Smith, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of PetSmart, at FOX Business.
“The Easter Photo Event is one of our most popular in-store experiences and is back this year, at the request of pet parents,” Smith continued. “Whether purchasing Easter costumes and toys or participating in our Easter Photo Giveaway, we’re providing the full holiday experience for customers to show how we’ll do ‘All for the Pets’.”
Reservations are required to secure your pet’s spot for an Easter photoshoot. Pet owners who wish to participate can fill out a form on the PetSmart website.
For a successful vacation photo shoot, PetSmart training expert Jodie Havens offers four tips for pet owners.
1. Prepare your pet’s look in advance.
2. Play with your pet before their photo shoot or walk them around the store “to get that beautiful pet smile”.
3. Attract your pet’s attention with a toy, treat or your voice while the photographer tries to capture their photo.
4. Reward your pet for participating with a treat.
AMERICANS SPENT A RECORD AMOUNT ON THEIR PETS DURING THE PANDEMIC
PetSmart stores will also be hosting a small pet show and story approximately every half hour for Easter Photo Day attendees while they wait to have their picture taken.
During these brief displays, store associates will introduce a guinea pig or hamster, and they’ll share fun facts and pet care tips.
The big-box pet retailer will also offer special Easter collections and holiday merchandise for sale, including costumes, toys, treats and accessories.
